Purpose
The purpose of this competition is to encourage students to better understand the science of flight, and to share the fun of RC flying!
Procedure
(1) Students can use any remote control model airplane in this competition.
(2) Contestants need to practice flying their remote control model airplane prior to the competition. The key to success in this competition is your ability to navigate your model airplane through various obstacles.
The Competition
(1)Several obstacles will be set up in the Centennial Building in Fair Park. These obstacles will require the contestant to:
(a) fly over objects
(b) fly under objects
(c) fly around objects
(d) reverse direction
(e) fly through narrow passages
(f) increase elevation quickly
(g) decrease elevation quickly
(2) Contestants will be challenged to fly the obstacle course.
The Winner
The winner of the competition will be the contestant that safely completes the obstacle course in the shortest amount of time.
