"Beauty Contest" for Cardboard Boat Entries
[The Winston School]
Winston Science is planning a Cardboard Boat "Beauty Contest" on Saturday, October 10th at 12:00 PM on the Winston School Campus. Student teams will be asked to explain the principal of buoyancy, as required in the event rules.

The judges will then evaluate the boats in the following categories:
- Outstanding design and creativity
- Outstanding engineering and construction
- Best-Looking Cardboard boat.
First, Second, and Third Place Awards will be presented in each grade group.
We are working with the City of Dallas and Fair Park to reschedule the Cardboard Boat Competition in the Spring. Students participating in the Spring Event are not required to attend the "Beauty Contest."
