Over 20,000 participants are expected to take part in 20th Anniversary Winston Science, a 20-day series of events designed to help motivate students in the sciences. Hosted by the Dallas Mavericks, HDNet, and The Winston School, students have the opportunity to take part in 66 events, hear outstanding presentations, and work with scientists from across the country.

WINSTON SCIENCE begins November 3rd at the Winston School with a series of Forensic Workshops, and culminates with the huge, crowd-pleasing day at Fair Park's Centennial Building on Sunday, November 18, 2007.

WINSTON SCIENCE LIGHT, our huge outside event day, will include the solar boat competition, the cardboard boat competition, and the model rocket event.

November’s WINSTON SCIENCE introduces the NEW Miniature Hovercraft Competition, the NEW Numbers Competition, the Elementary School Catapult Competition, the Eiffel Tower Competition, the NEW Card Stacking Competition, the Rock Competition, and Adventures-in-Duct-Tape.

Returning are the newly revised Balsa Wood Bridge Competition, Texas Tower Competition, Root Beer Brewing Competition, Leaf Blower Hovercraft Competition, the Suspension Bridge Competition, and many other exciting events.

ScienceFest will provide an evening of fun in science, hosted by the UT Southwestern Medical School. Scheduled for Thursday, November 8th, come hear some of the leading scientists discuss the latest breakthroughs in their fields of study, and take part in exciting hands-on labs and workshops.
